Elliot Weeks is a jazz vocalist currently based in the Pacific Northwest

Originally from Olympia, WA, trained jazz vocalist Elliot Weeks spent years gathering accolades for his work across the country before settling in Seattle. Along the way, he earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Studies from Western Michigan University and a Masters in Jazz Vocal Performance from the University of Miami. During that time, Elliot won three Student Downbeat Awards for his original compositions as well as his performance with the vocal jazz group he co-founded, Out of State. He went on to perform as a member of award winning vocal jazz ensembles Gold Company and Frost Extensions, achieved a finalist placement in the Glenn Miller Scholarship Competition, and performed alongside notable artists and mentors.

Elliot’s work as an arranger and composer focuses on modernizing traditional jazz vocal sounds for dynamic performance in large groups. These pieces can often be seen performed by any of the University of Miami’s award winning jazz vocal ensembles. His works have also been performed at the Monterey Jazz Festival, the Jazz Education Network Conference, the Western Michigan University Vocal Jazz Invitational, and The Jazz Gallery in New York. Elliot’s arrangements and recordings of podcast theme songs are also heard by thousands of monthly listeners. Elliot continues to share the joys of music education, having taught at the high school and university level.
